The Materials screen is for the management of materials in CrewTracks. Materials can be added, inactivated/activated, and material data viewed from here.
Click the ADD NEW MATERIAL button in the top right of the Materials screen.
Add Material
Material Type Name – The name of the material type (bricks, mortar, rebar, etc.) to group the different material types.
Material Type Code – A code to signify that material type, such as BRCK for bricks, MORT for mortar, etc., whatever makes sense for the organization.
Material Info
Material Code – Typically a unique code used to identify a particular material.
Material Name – The name of the material i.e. Quikrete 80, 7.625x3.625 Red Clay Bricks, etc. This field doesn’t need to be unique from other materials, but a unique material code should be used to properly differentiate between them.
Unit Type – This is the classify how the material usage is measured i.e. LF, Each, SqFt, etc.
Material Description – Optional field for a description of the material.
Click on the checkbox next to the material(s) that need to be inactivated.
Click INACTIVATE.
A prompt will appear to confirm the material’s inactivation. To continue with the inactivation, click INACTIVATE XX MATERIALS, where XX is the number of materials that have been selected. Click CANCEL to go back to the Materials screen without inactivating the material.
Click on the Inactive radio button on the Materials screen.
Click the checkbox next to the material(s) that need to be activated.
Click ACTIVATE.
A prompt will appear to confirm the material’s activation. To continue with the activation, click ACTIVATE XX MATERIALS, where XX is the number of materials that have been selected. Click CANCEL to go back to the Materials screen without activating the material.
Click on the material line or click the VIEW button on the material line to view the material details.
The Material Details page gives an overview of the selected material, including any schedules the material is on.
Click the MATERIAL TYPES LIST in the top left corner of the Materials screen.
The Materials Tyles list shows all the different Material types currently in the CrewTracks system and shows the quantity of materials associated with each material type.
Click on ADD NEW MATERIAL TYPE in the top right of the Material Types section.
A prompt will appear to fill out the needed information about the new Material Type. Fill out the needed information, then click SAVE MATERIAL TYPE. Click CANCEL to go back to the Material Types screen without adding a new material type.
Click on the Material Type line or click the VIEW button on the Material Type line to view that material type’s details.
The Material Type details page shows further information about the selected material type, including any materials associated with this material type. Materials can be added through this screen by selecting ADD NEW MATERIAL in the Associated Materials section.
